CLICK HERE TO CHECK OUT OUR NEW MONTHLY ONLINE FILM FESTIVAL!

We would like to warmly welcome all of you to Cinema City International Film Festival. We have visitors from all over the world gathering together to celebrate their love for film and the entire process of filmmaking. The festival also takes great pride in honoring our country’s military men and women and their families by allowing all our festival events’ proceeds to be donated to charities for severely burned and injured American soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

We are proud to bring educational workshops and seminars with the best in the industry to share and discuss every aspect of the craft from conception to completion. We also pride ourselves in giving individual attention to each and every filmmaker, as well as tailoring personal press and publicity for them on all our red carpets and festival events.

In 2008, the Cinema City International Film Festival was rated one of the “Top 25 Film Festivals” by MovieMaker Magazine. Our festival board members consist of top industry professionals, as well as Oscar-winning writers and producers. Each and every submission is carefully screened and is not only a candidate for festival exhibit, but is also considered for in-house production.

Debuting its first year in 2007, the Cinema City International Film Festival is dedicated to being a premiere outlet for today's greatest talents, a place for the new filmmaker to be discovered and a home for all of those celebrating filmmaking excellence. Due to its proximity to the heart of Hollywood it is also an excellent attraction for tourists, guests and the local community to celebrate all that Los Angeles and the southern California area have to offer.

The Cinema City International Film Festival anticipates a highly competitive submissions process, which will result in an outstanding array of diverse and exciting features, TV pilots, documentaries, and short films. It also is presenting an elaborate schedule of red carpet events, parties, and student showcases.

We are confident that this festival will exceed all of your expectations and are excited to share it with you. We invite you to lose yourself in movie magic. May it be the first of many successful
exciting years and wonderful memories.

Sincerely,

Suzanne DeLaurentiis

PROCEEDS FROM THE FESTIVAL

Proceeds from the festival go to Veterans' Charities to help our American Soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

While the success of any one film festival rests on a combination of several factors, California's Cinema City International Film Festival attendees can say only two words: Suzanne DeLaurentiis.

A successful producer and founder of the fest, DeLaurentiis has the connections to bring in the big names but makes sure to schedule some one-on-one time for each of her guests, too, serving a sort of mentor role.

"On the professional front, she's available, friendly, cooperative, helpful and makes the filmmaker feel wanted and important," says American Meth director Justin Hunt. "On the social front, her events are classy, star-studded and fun."

The intimate nature of the fest reminds many an attendee why he or she started making movies in the first place. "I really believe everyone left that festival with a ton of inspiration and motivation, ready to tackle their next film," says Sheila Brothers of we have no life productions. "It was worth every penny!"

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) September 15, 2009 -- The 2009 Cinema City Black Tie Gala and Awards Ceremony held at the Hyatt Regency Century on Saturday was a huge success. "The Festival and Fundraiser truly exceeded our expectations," said filmmaker Suzanne DeLaurentiis. Screenwriters, directors, producers, filmmakers and movie buffs turned out en masse for three days of screenings of films from all over the world.

It was a sold out Gala this year, hosted by Actor Al Bandiero featuring AgreenDay.Org as the event's Title Sponsor. The Cinema City International Film Festival also served as a tribute and fundraiser for injured soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. "We proudly support our troops through the Oregon National Relief Fund and the Marine Veterans Association," said Co-Founder, Suzanne DeLaurentiis.

The evening's star studded cast of award presenters included actors Cole Hauser, Barry Pepper, Bai Ling and Richard Gant. The Festival's opening night film, Like Dandelion Dust, also starring Oscar winning actress Mira Sorvino, won the Best Feature Film Award.

Among those walking the Red Carpet and on hand to support our Annual Festival and Fundraiser were Recording artist Taylor Dayne, award winning screen writers Steve Revele (Ali and Nixon) and Gary Brockette (who is also a film producer).

The Cinema City Film Festival, named by Movie Maker Magazine as one of the top twenty five film festival's in the country, provides a critical point of entry to artistic filmmakers who came from all over the world. Other prominent awards went to the filmmakers of Who Will Stand, Klara Wizel, the Story of a Holocaust Survivor, Sabastian's Voodoo, an animated creation by Joaquin Baldwin and Prayers for Peace, by Dustin Grella.

Cole Hauser stirred emotions when he presented a special award to a severely wounded soldier who is currently undergoing rehabilitation. Afterwards, award winning actress Bai Ling lightened up the evening with her infectious humor, presenting the award for Best Foreign Film. Richard Gant, character actor in a plethora of Hollywood features presented the award for Cultural Diversity in Filmmaking to Freddie Robinson. This award is presented to individuals whose films transcend cultural and social values and perspectives to the film industry.

Festival co- founders, Suzanne De Laurentiis and Juliette Harris stated, "Each year the festival grows leaps and bounds and nothing compares to the pride and joy the festival winners emote. To be involved in a small way of what may help shape their future in film making is unbelievably rewarding." Many festival goers shared writer Bill Green's enthusiasm when he said, "this was a great opportunity for me to showcase my work as a screenwriter and the Black Gala was absolutely fabulous."
